Comcast Upgrading Cable Services in L...

Update:
I asked the person at Comcast who sent us the letter whether they need to upgrade the equipment in Loxahatchee in order to implement the analog to digital conversion. She said the upgrade to the physical plant has already been done.
This is really good news.
Comcast is making "network enhancements" in Loxahtchee Groves that will provide enhanced digital programming to many users. Read the document that Comcast sent to our town about this upgrade.
A week ago I had Comcast out to my home because I had a problem with my service. The Comcast person told me that some communities in our area have had their wiring upgraded to handle all the newest Xfinitiy services. He mentioned Lake Worth as one of them.
I don't yet know if this letter from Comcast means that our area will receive a major upgrade to the cable infrastructure, but let's hope so. If so, it will mean greatly enhanced service and reliability. Comcast has recently announced some of their future plans, including new cable boxes, making Skype video calls through their cable box and integration with Facebook. Read more about it here.
